Great Marketing Techniques Which Your Small Business Should Use

2017-09-27 10:33:13

If you are running a small business then you will be more than aware that it is unlikely that you have very much money to throw at something like a marketing strategy. With this being said, I would always, always recommend that businesses, not matter what their size, do all that they can with the resources that they have, to market in some fashion. Thankfully for small businesses, the internet has given rise to many new and exciting forms of marketing which do not cost the Earth but can have a huge impact on your bottom line. We have looked at the many strategies out there from buying real Instagram followers to the 'jab, jab, punch' approach and whittled the list of marketing strategies that you should be looking at, down to a top 3, and here they are.

Promotional Marketing
Promotional marketing is something that has been happening in businesses big and small for many years and it still exists, and can still be very successful, albeit it a slightly different way. The idea of this form of marketing is that you sell one of your products and services at a huge discount (usually charging cost alone will prove to be enough,) so that you can show off your goods to new customers.

Social Media
Social media should never be overlooked as a marketing strategy and whether or not your are prepared to spend money on advertising, you can use social media and all of the benefits that it brings. Social media gives you access to a huge marketplace with millions of people using the service each and every day. If you do opt to use paid ads on somewhere such as Facebook, you can target your demographic specifically so that you can focus on the potential clients that your products are services are aimed at. At the very least, you need to be active on sites like Twitter, Instagram and Facebook so that you can tell the world about who you are an what you do, and gain exposure for your company and your brand.

SEO Marketing
If you only invest in one form of marketing, make it search engine optimization, a method of bumping your company's website up to the first pages of the search engine results. Very few clients will look past the first pages of Google for example and if you do not feature there for the keywords which they have searched for, that customer will never find you. Using SEO gives you a great leg up when it comes to bringing in more customers and instead of you reaching out to them, it will be them who are searching for you. There are some SEO practices which you can adopt yourself when it comes to publishing content and handling your website but for best results you should be looking to hire professionals to do this for you, a move that will pay you back in spades.
